Found on all models from DF70A and up (Midrange to Lofty Performance engines), the offset drive shaft positions the crankshaft in front of the drive shaft which moves its center of gravity forward for more even weight distribution to yield an amplify in power, performance and balance, while also minimizing vibration. Timing chains are the devices that make the connection between the crankshaft and camshafts and are located under the power head on a Suzuki outboard. The Suzuki Troll Mode System is easy to use and comes whole with a specific tachometer and autonomous handle switch. This is achieved because the gear diameter can be reduced since the counter rotation propellers can disperse torque. It cuts down water resistance and increases speed. The Suzuki Dual Prop System spreads the propeller load for better efficiency at low speeds, especially when docking or trolling. It also improves handling and turning at tall speeds. This ensures the engine gets the right amount of air at low rpm, air enters the combustion chamber through a longer, curved manifold pipe designed to improve combustion and boost lowed torque. A key feature of Suzuki’s AP models (currently available in DF150APDF300AP), it allows the outboard to operate in steady clockwise rotation, using the forward gear, or counter rotation mode by temporary the gearshift mode and adding a counter rotational propeller, making our lofty performance engines even more versatile. Positioning the forward inlet at the front of the gear case delivers a greater water supply, especially at lofty speeds. The second inlet is also positioned lower allowing the DF300AP250AP models to operate in shallow water conditions.
